MORE MAGIC PILLS

Here we go again!  Not one, but two more magic pills have been 'invented' and they are supposed to make you lose weight with no effort.

One is a combo of chilli and capsicum - the experts who have invented it have done 'trials' whatever that means, and it goes on sale this week in Britain. Obviously the people who pay actual money to buy this 'magic' are too silly or too lazy to just eat less (or eat chilli and capsicum).

And the other piece of magic has been invented by some scientists in Sydney. This pill is supposed to convince you that you're not as hungry as you thought you were.....

By the way, the last 'wonder drug' Xenical, which used to be available only on prescription and is now available at any Pharmacy across the counter, causes all sorts of side effects like diarrhoea, stomach troubles and now liver failure. Nice!

Don't these scientists realise that drugs have side effects?  Why don't they spend their precious time inventing something useful, like a cure for the common cold or cancer?  There has not been one 'magic pill' invented in the last 50 years that has made any difference at all to the rising incidence of diabetes, obesity and all the medical problems that arise from carrying too much fat around. Not one.

Commonsense is very uncommon in our society.
